Since I've been getting a lot of the same usual questions, lately, I decided to make a post for FAQ (frequently asked questions). If I get any more, I'll update this post to add them (and I'll also modify the post once the full-game is released for the questions that will no longer be relevant by that time).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

WHERE CAN I FOLLOW YOUR PROGRESS?

By following me here on itch.io, your feed will tell you whenever I post a new devlog or when I make updates on my games themselves. You can also follow me on Twitter if you want more immediate but shorter updates; I tend to post screenshots or videos with the tag #WhereWinterCrowsGo (be warned that I sometimes spam with random shit, though 😂). There's also my Tumblr, but I'm not as active over there as on Twitter.  

Another good way to know of my progress on my projects is to join my mailing list. By joining, you will get monthly newsletters with info about my game development progress.

I'M A VOICE ACTOR! ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ANY MORE VOICE ACTORS? 

First of all, I'm flattered! Thank you for being interested in working with me! However, unless I explicitly make an announcement about it or contact the person myself, then I'm not looking to hire anyone, sorry!

ARE ALL OF YOUR CHARACTERS ON THE ACE SPECTRUM? WHAT IS CROWE'S ORIENTATION?

 lot of my characters are on the ace spectrum and biromantic or panromantic. But, of course, this isn't always the case. Crowe himself is demisexual and demipanromantic.

WHERE ARE CROWE AND ASPEN FROM? IS THE STORY SET IN ANY SPECIFIC COUNTRY?

Every single story that I write is set in either a fictional world or "the real world" but in a fictional/non-specified country. I do this mainly because I'm not really comfortable with writing about places I haven't lived in, English is also not my first language (I'm from Argentina), and, to be honest, I much prefer to come up with everything myself. There might be some dumb references here or there, though, like Herbie's pun 😂. 

Both Where Winter Crows Go and Killer Trait take place in the fictional country of Cedaria, where Crowe and Aspen are from.

WHAT TYPE OF FANART CONTENT ARE YOU OKAY WITH? WHERE CAN I SHARE IT?

First of all, thank you so much! It's an honor that you want to make fan content of my games! I decided to make a sort of "chart" to explain everything better:

Cosplaying as my characters --> HELL YEAH!!

SFW Fanart, Fan Comics, Fanfiction --> HELL YEAH!!

NSFW Fanart, Fan Comics, Fanfiction --> I'd rather you didn't. If you're going to make them anyway, don't share it on my spaces nor tag me.

Commissioning an artist to draw SFW art of my characters --> HELL YEAH!!

Making merch of my characters (stickers, keychains, posters, costumes, among other things) --> NO. YAMETE KUDASTOP. YOU WILL FACE THE WRATH OF THE CROW.

You can share your fanart with the tags #WhereWinterCrowsGo on Twitter and Tumblr! 🥰

WHAT TYPE OF IMAGE EDITS ARE YOU OKAY WITH?

Meme images/GIFs --> HELL YEAH!! (just be mindful of spoilers and don't use fanart from other artists unless you got their permission)

Using screenshots from my games as a profile picture/BG for your screens --> HELL YEAH!! But, in the case of CGs, try not to use the ones that are too spoilery if you're using them as a profile picture; also, DON'T use fanart from others unless you got their permission.

Using screenshots from my games for written content such as game reviews, game recommendations or game analyses/theories --> HELL YEAH! Just make sure to warn of spoilers and possible trigger warnings.

Image edits of games' original art (sprites, CGs, etc) --> ONLY if it's for a video thumbnail/article thumbnail or a meme. Otherwise, don't make them. Basically, image edits that make the characters unrecognizable or "a new OC" aren't allowed. 

WHAT TYPE OF VIDEO CONTENT ARE YOU OKAY WITH?

Gameplays/Streaming --> This is totally fine and even welcomed AS LONG AS it has commentary. Don't make silent gameplays/streams. This is essentially reuploading my game, which I don't allow.

Recommendations, Analyses/Theories, Reviews --> HELL YEAH!!

Fanart Animations of my characters --> As long as you made the animations yourself, hell yeah!!

Edits for Tik Tok or Youtube Shorts --> NO. THIS ISN'T ALLOWED.

CAN I LOCALIZE YOUR GAME?

No, sorry. Localizing games requires a lot of team effort, a great deal of preparation, time and communication. It's really not as simple as saying "yeah, let's do it" (not to mention, I'd like to work with someone I can trust). So, for now, I'm not looking to hire anyone. Thank you for understanding!
